Borrowed my buddy's trailer to shuffle trucks and do some scrapping. Anyway, it came with a bonus that he couldn't care for anymore. I hope it's not too far gone. Time will tell.

I have been trying to het ahold of one of those for years. this one was sitting in a friend's shop building. He said that he couldn't sell it because it belonged to his brother in law. I just found out last week that he told the brother in law to either come up with a price to sell it or get it out of his shop. He came and picked it up. It's not much farther away from me now, but I'm not even going to try asking the brother in law about it. I've heard from the grapevine that he's into illicit substances so he'll want a fortune for it.

Those type usually give the can't pass it up deals when their stash runs out. Just gotta remember that it could possibly be hot.

I know that it's not hot. My friend built him and their father in law a 6 door IDI powered truck. For their hunting guide service that they used to have. It was all ready foe paint when they closed the business after the Great Recession of 2008. The engine and the truck have been sitting there since then. The reason that I know it's not hot is that I went to pick the wrecked CC dually that donated the engine, ZF5 that I forgot to mention, and the rear of the cab to the 6 door. I got home from being a civilian contractor in Iraq on a Thursday in 2005. The following Tuesday, I was heading south down the interstate to get the truck about 30 miles east of Little Rock, AR. I can remember thinking that I must be crazy for wanting to take a long road trip that soon after getting home from Iraq. It's also a good thing for me that I have a strong sense of wanderlust.

Yeah the guy I bought my 86 from was a real shady character who I am very certain was/is into illegal substances. Super nice when I got there, a buddy of mine came with to buy a truck as well, which I may be buying from him soon, he is visiting family until the first part of August or so and lives 3 miles away… anyhow, the guy we bought trucks from cut us a cheap price on my ‘86 and my buddy’s ‘90, and said a good deal is not a good deal unless both parties are satisfied, to which we all agreed that we were satisfied on all ends of the deal. Loaded up the ‘90 on a car trailer behind my Dodge, and I drove my ‘86. Well he helped us load and seemed to have fallen off his high and seemed rather… grouchy about the deal he made. Oh well. Drugs are bad, stay away. Truck wasn’t hot in the legal sense, but water pump was shot and so the motor got warm, abandoned it outside of Junction City, nasty town where we bought the trucks, and took the Dodge and the ‘90 home. Came back next morning, truck was gone. I had the title with me and I took the batteries and key out when we abandoned it, had the trailer to load it up but it wasnt there. Well the police must’ve been getting complaint calls, they impounded the damn thing. Oh well, doing their job. Paid the $208 to get it out, loaded ‘er up, and took ‘er home. Drove home in a snowstorm.

Nice! Whatcha gonna do with it? You're obviously the 12v guy around these parts.
Not exactly sure. I plan to test run it eventually.

These are my next favourite pickup engine after the 6BT. I have a couple of ZF5's and tcases to use with it.
