Cowl hood / intake

And it's a functional cowl with holes for air. Anyone else have one and plumb their intake to take advantage of it? I'm not sure how you'd route the intake or what you'd put on the end to make it suck the cold air in. Maybe I'm better off with the stock 6.9 intake and just letting the cowl cool the engine off? Opinions welcome

See I'd rather have one facing forwards like yours. Not that I have to use the one that came on the truck as an intake, but I feel like I'd be inviting water into the intake if I plumb it downhill like I'd have to. I guess I could leave a gap.. I need to drive the thing in pouring rain and see if the engine gets wet at all from this thing or not and go from there I suppose.

I have heard it's not a problem but the thought has always concerned me as well. I thought about using some kind of catch can with a drain if I built one but idk.

You could do what I did but I think it's a little over the top if you don't have an IC.

I don't think my engine gets wet from the rain sence it has to pass over the IC.

my hood is not plumbed to the intake.
I choose the easy route, its only to invite fresh air into the engine bay.
works good enough for me.
after a good rain you can see water spots on the engine, but no puddles
