considering selling

how do you guys feel about KBB values I noticed in newer trucks the gassers are way cheaper but what about our old trucks do they factor in the diesel part or do you think they low ball it.

You see there are a lot a incredible deals out there this days but not on every state so in some You may get more than others. Fwiw I got a 89 with everything working well for $1500.

I hate to hear that, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Seeing your truck in person at the IDI rallies...........it is very nice. You should have not trouble selling it to someone who knows diesel Ford trucks.

When I got my 87, it had been sitting in someone's front yard for 5 years. He had a $1500 price on it, but I got it for $800. My 93 was in pretty fair shape when I got it and had new Michelin's on it. I paid $1500 for it. There was a very nice 93 for sale, near me recently. It went for $5500

Yeah I know its supply and demand for the price of anything but I want a reasonable price to ask and its hard to come up with that price myself as it is worth more to me I know then what anyone would want to pay. We are considering stepping up to a cc and solid front axle and can't really justify the extra insurance and tags and I'm not gonna let it just sit and rot away. KBB has it listed at $4000 which I didn't think was too bad

4k no way, the truck looks better than that, I would think it can bring 6k at least from the right person.

I paid 2500 for my 87 F350 4X4 in MD but I wanted the truck and the boss didn't want to sell it. I paid a thousand more then he paid for it and have never looked back. My 92 CrewCab Dually Flatbed I paid 1500 for and it has some issues but other than that it was a runner and I drove it home. As the others have said it is supply and demand. A vehicle will sell for what the right buyer wants to pay.

I couldn't find anything worth driving for less than $2500 around here. I figured it might be because they're worth about that in salvage value. I looked at a few that seemed pretty worn out, missing radios, wiring hanging out of the dash, beat up and rusty, poorly running, grinding gears, etc. and they wouldn't come off of $3-5k. I ended up paying decent money for mine at $4500 but its in great shape so I think I did well. I might have gotten the guy down a little more but he wasn't all that interested in selling, he would have kept it it it didn't go for his price, and I really wanted it. Around here $1500 gets you nothing at all.

4k sounds low, but on the other hand Ive seen psd's for 6-7
I only paid 5500 for my 03.

from past experiance selling it take the right person to get the $$$.
