Is there anywhere on the net that sells a complete overhaul gasket kit...with a name brand gasket (ie Fel-pro, Victor Reinze...ect..) for our trucks. For the life of me I cant find one and I need one as my head studs will be in this week.

I'm talking complete from the pan gasket all the way up to the valve covers.

You don't want to use an oil pan gasket.. I know they make them but... the oem didn't have one from the factory so why mess with one now... RTV works great.... Ask around about which one to use... I like permatex copper plus... Because it has never leaked on me over many years of using it....

They are local for me and I am VERY happy with their product and service. They have options, many, so be sure to talk with a sales rep. They are all very knowledgeable and will help you pick the rebuild set you need. I bought a Federal Mogul set from them and it had a complete felpro gasket set. It comes with everything except the valley pan. That sucker is about $80 by itself.

Yep, FelPro has the kit less the valley pan. I had one as well, but it is a KS set and has no part number on the box.

I like Ultra Gray for oilpans and as Gary said, I wouldn't use the one in the box, of course, I haven't used a cork oil pan gasket in forever anyway, hate them!

X2 on the oil pan gasket!! I just recently pulled my brand new motor to silicone it, because I used the cork gasket when I built it.

Travis.... You took the dirty pants right off my .... Well, I couldn't have said it better.....:rotflmao:sly No way reuse the valley pan gasket. Its all the same part of the intake anyway. You will see what I mean when you pull it off. Northern Autoparts sells complete Felpro gaskets sets and the turkey pan or valley pan gasket...

Navistar (International Harvester) has a complete kit for these engines, that's what I bought and used.

Car Quest carries the better quality Victor Reinz Gasket sets. They come as upper and lower sets with the valley pan separate . Do the job up right and coat the head gaskets with a few coats of spray Hylomar ( get a few of cans, use some on the valley pan too) and get some of the Hylomar in the tubes for valve cover gaskets and any place else you can think of.

Do not forget to get a bottoming tap to clean out head bolt holes in the block.
