My plan, if I ever get around to it, is to use the existing old CDR valve as my way of connecting catch can to engine. I will add fittings to CDR and put a barrier inside to separate the in & out. Then, I'll put another new CDR on the catch can and retain the CDR function as well as catch the oil.
The existing CDR location is known for causing higher ignition pressures in the rear cylinders as those cylinders pick up the crankcase oil and burn it.
I've read that this can lead to head gasket failures???
That's why I want to eventually do this.

Few yrs ago Russ told us that this would/supposed to work for the grommet in the valley pan. I had this in my computer notes I try to keep.

Mid '70 Dodge Valve Cover breather grommet for ATS drain & Gray RTV)
(NAPA part #NOE6301411... DORMAN part # 42344)
This won’t work. The hole in the dorman grommet is just under 1” and the original is 1.25”

Is that one a self draining/automatic draining one? I'm eventually going to have one and I want to be lazy about it. I'll probably forget to drain it and then it would be like not having one at all.

It doesn't self drain but that knurled knob on top is a dipstick so you can see how much is in it and the bottom cup spins off and is o-ring sealed
