Hello, i have a 1992 f250 with a 7.3 idi non turbo, only question i have is if the tube from the intake valley that goes in the cdr is a little bit loose (tight around the cdr valve but a little bit smaller than the hole where the grommet was, is it good for a couple weeks till i get the new parts??

Yes it will be fine as long as it doesn't rain much. If you have a bad cowl seal, and most of our trucks do, rain can get down to the valley pan and end up inside that hole. The solution would be to park it under cover.

Alright, and if i silicone the tube will it be good? Because i can’t find the grommet retainer anywhere, i don’t mind having the hose straight in but i wonder if some high temp caulk would do it?

E-Bay $17.85 and $19.55 with free ship.
Swag Performance, $25.33, and probably shipping.

@Old Goat I looked at them over on Ford Giant looks like $5.88 ea + shipping???? that the ones??
However my '90 (BESSIE) now has a '94 Factory Turbo set-up in her with the CDR Valve etc over on the valve cover.
I need to find something, a part # etc for my set-up. Anybody got any ideas?

Sure. Buy one of the ones for the N/A set up. Then the grommet will work in the same location, on the back of the CDR. All you'll have to do is cut down the tube to the right length to make it work for your Factory Turbo set up.

Just click on the link up above in post #4, click on how many...
I clicked on the Pay Pal button, and bibity bobity boo and they will
will send it to you..
With shipping mine came to $7.45 ea. Killer price from a Ford Dealer.

I don`t have a Turbo, but IDIBRONCO got you covered.

Here is the Google search I did. Not a lot of them listed, by the
various vendors like I use to see. If you are going to keep your
old truck for the long haul, better grab a few at this price.
But if it is some play thing for a year or two, don`t worry about it.

Just got them in the mail today, and it is just the gasket part,
E3TZ-6A892-A, each in a Ford Package.

Looks like from my Googling around, they did come 2 together in
a package under the part# E8TZ-6A892-A

I saw one review April 21 where the supply chain was drying up.
Some got the Gasket while another got both parts.
hey guys, we driver old trucks, and stuff is getting pretty thin as to
what`s left for us.

May be a dealer here or there with a few on their shelves, who knows?
I found just the Hose on E-Bay...
$22.95 Free shipping
$14.45 $10 shipping
$30.97 free shipping
Swag Performance with both pieces, $25.33

We may need to find a grommet that fits the hole in the VP, and
some kind of pipe up to the CDR...IDK.

When I bought my 86 back in 7/14. The CDR had a metal tube
that went into a Grommet in the pan.
I replaced the CDR, and the new one came with the current set up,
Hose with ribbed end into the pan and the separate Grommet that
seals at the Manifold.
I came across this thread of FTE discussing it.

After I opened the package last night and it only had the the
Grommet, and the picture on their site was of the Hose also,
I did some digging around to see if the Hose was offered separate.

I decided to sent Ford Parts Giant a message, they want your name, rank and serial # and top secret code. (Pass word) and the vehicles VIN #. type in the VIN, and it comes back invalid VIN. I had my registration to copy it off of, doubled checked my typing several times, even changed glasses to make sure I was seeing correctly.
I keep every thing, and have every Registration plus the one from
when we bought the truck from the past owner in 2014 in Calif.,
to make sure there wasn`t a typo. Then went outside with a Flash
Light to write down what was on the door jamb. All the same #.
Retyped it in, rejected again.

So then decide to use my 85`s VIN #, and rejected it also, a
invalid #. So Monday I`ll give them a call to see what`s up. Maybe
a computer glitch. :dunno but was frustrating.

Huummmmm.......... I wonder?????
In the past I've bought from them & was happy.
Few yr ago (the last time) & it all came in a kit, I bought a Dip stick tube, & the little short tube that slips onto bottom of dipstick tube, & the O-Ring that slips onto the little short tube, & the Dipstick.
I don't remember the part # at all, but it was a complete kit, & was obsolete.
IIRC it was pretty good price........at least for me!
((((.....if something cost more than 11cents it's too spendy for me!!! LOL LOL )))
