Saw some ads on CL for Ford pickup parts n stuff.
Someone had a trans & transfer case from a F150, don't know if the transfercase was a BW1356.
BUT if it was would that work in my F250, be nice to have a spare.
Are the those cases all the same from F150 to F250???

They should be. But Ford had some odd combinations once and awhile depending on the year it could have a 1345 a 1356 or an np205. On top of that broncos had a solid yoke at the tcase where most other 1356s had slip yokes. But I have also seen solid yokes on some of the 96/97 model extended cabs and crew cabs.

Mid 95-97 were 4407's with fixed output flanges. And ive never seen a np205 in an anything after 1979

Like was said, the f150 and the f250 used the same transfer cases. And they will all bolt up correctly to any of the trannies Ford used. But you have the differences listed in the previous post, and also sometimes even if you get everything else the same, there will be shifter linkage differences. I have run into that before, so check that also and or get the whole shifter assembly when you get it.

1356 Tcase...

Bronco, fixed yoke, can be changed to slip style, requires work!
F150/250 SAME with slip yoke
F350 SAME as F250 one caveat! This model usually has a PTO provision and the front half of the case is Aluminum instead of magnesium. They all bolt to transmission the same, it's the back half where differences come into play! slip yoke or fixed is really what it comes down too. The PTO provision does not affect it in any way, though it's nice to have!
