Seems like ANY damage to the bumper, and they sag. My F250 sagged after a fender bender, and my E350 is sagging after a decent chain-reaction hit earlier this year.

But the other guy's insurance paid me $1,300+ for 2 bumpers, a tiny bit of bodywork. Replaced the bumpers, but the frame mounts are bent up. Since he ran out of coverage (due to damage on other vehicles and injuries to other parties), I'm gonna let it lie. Still, his totalled import car was no match for "built Ford Tough."

Meanwhile, off to a self-serve yard to see how flat the front mounts are normally, and then out comes the baby sledge... :Dcookoo

This probably wont help anyone. But I fixed mine by putting a forklift under the end and lifting up. Straightened right out. The bumper didnt seem to have any damage anywhere like it had been hit, so maybe they do just sag over time.
