Trust me. there is nothing SLOW about this truck. I had it on the lowest setting and was climbing hills like they were flat! Max egt was 1000. I figured i grossed out at about 18k The truck really runs

6.0' are fast, I have had two, most powerful truck I have ever owned. I found my truck got the best mpg's on the highest HP settings myself. Just had to keep my foot out of it to keep from burning it down. Anyway, looks like a nice rusty parts truck you have there. You would never find a truck like that with rust here in Cali, unless it lived by the beach anyway.

That load, the lift and larger tires, I think the 9mpg isn't to bad...... In my Ex, it is 100% stock, and towing the ~5000lb TT I get 12-14mpg, which puts me in at just under 12k..... so pushing 20k and if you were doing "Interstate Speed Limits" I don't think that is to bad.

I do love my 6.0. My Dad has a 97 Light Duty F-250 4x4 Extened Cab, Short Bed(Looks like a half ton, 7 lug nuts) with a 5.4L Gas and I have a 03 Excursion 4x4 6.0L PSD. I have the same power towing, as he does empty. He has a 23' Sea Ray that is ~5000lbs and I ahve my TT that is ~5000lbs. (I know they tow completely differently even thought they weight the same.....) His truck, pulling the boat feels like it is really working when running 65 in 3rd gear (OD Off). I put mine in THM and set the cruise with traffic and it just purrs along.

I test drove the Enterprise before Trav bought it, and it was ..... well and N/A IDI slow, and I have drive an 96 OBS PSD F-350 4x4 RC LB that is a FD Grass Truck and it is 100% stock and has a 500gal water tank and a portabel pump in the bed and it is ...... we slow.... I love my 6.0 and would buy another one without a second thought...... they are not as bad as everyone trys to make them sound......

NA .I just bought this one to part out. The guy i bought if from pulled the powerstoke , trans and harness to put it in a 56 F100.

up here, thats what we call "minor rust"

my neighbor had a blazer that was rusted through so bad he filled the rear panels with that spray-in foam stuff for your windows and doors, then he peeled off the rust and painted it!!!

it was the only part of the truck that was not rusted through from that point on

Around here if you have 2 good frame rails everything else can be replaced.....You wouldn't beleive how much work some guys will put into a rust bucket before it's done.....I sold the rear 6 feet of frame from a 2001 F150 4x4 s-cab this morning as a matter of fact........I'd like to have a rig like that for my Cummins.

yep different areas of the country have different definitions of "rust bucket"... Just like when I shipped the E off to freight I told him on the phone many times that when he sees her he's gonna scream Rust Bucket but to us up here she was still in decent shape.

Sure enough when she arrived he called and said she's a rust bucket... And around here some folks have "winter beaters" as they are called...
