My dear friends,

Have you ever walk into a casino? Have you ever bet on horses or something?

It's the same with an insurance company. Their business is to make money out of the impossibility of many to take care of themselves in case they have an accident or a problem. They are not in the business of caring for the unfortunates, they are not a charity organization. They have their goal: To get more money from many than they will have to pay some when they have a claim. Why do you want to bring them to a communist level? You don't like their rules? Shop at some other place. You don't find any other place that offers what you want? Tough. The options are: Comply or don't drive a vehicle. You can ride a bicycle, there is no insurance requirements for that. I have my plans to build a buggy drawn by horse sometime in the near future. Just as an option when I will not be able to drive any of my trucks, I have a bicycle but I'm not strong enough to ride it for 25 miles to the closest town with my wife and daughter riding on it also.

What I'm saying is: We need to stop whining and asking the government for more regulations on the companies that are out there to make money because we don't like or we cannot comply with their rules. When we say: "That's BS!" or "That's not fair" there's a politician that will take advantage of that to increase the size and control of the government because we will be willing to trade some of our freedom for some "security" they can offer.

What I said is with love. Nobody needs to get upset. I mean it in a positive way. Life is not fair, we need to play with the hand that has been dealt to us. Making the best out of it. There is hope though. There is a way to get what you cannot with your own strength only: Ask your Father. In Him I find the only solution to life unfairness.

Remember our country motto: In God we trust.

Your brother Burt.

The only reason they use those factors is because they can. If their were laws made against using credit reports etc then all insurance companies would be like the Cure insurance company where they only go by your driving record, type and year of vehicle and driving experience and nothing more. Statistically I am sure if I wanted to I could create a report stating that college educated drivers are no worse than high school educated drivers.

It's all just to charge higher premiums and nothing more. As I said every year my rate goes up yet I have had zero claims since I have had this company and have had them for ten years. I haven't had any claims on auto insurance in 20 plus years. If anything it should be going down because of my record however the insurance company is losing money on another insured so they charge their good drivers higher rates to make up the difference in their claims they paid on.

i knew when i posted that that someone would come in with a "nuh-uh" answer, but it's the truth. i know people like to imagine some insurance exec wringing his handsand stroking a long thin mustache while he plans how to "steal" your money but that just isn't the case.

1. there are a number of states that do not allow credit to be a factor in rating. CA, and MD being notable examples.

2.There are mony companies that don't use credit at all. Brethren Mutual being one of my favorites but there are many others ZC sterling, Halifax ins etc

3. Many companies don't use credit as a rating factor but as a pass/fail for eligibility. That doesn't sound like a money making scheme to me. Sounds morel ike they are just trying to avoid risk.

4. You complained about your rates going up becasue other people have accidents, but that is wha insurance is. You are sharing risk with the company who shares risk back with their clients. Every company has to keep a certain amount in reserve based on their total book of business and if in a year they pay out a lot in claims they do have to recover that money. When you are with a company you share some small bit of risk with every other client that company holds.

5. Credit DOES make a difference in claims occurences and payouts. You say you can "make" a statistic to support blah. The point is that the insurance companies are NOT manipulating the data. They are trying to findthey way to aquire the most business they can while acquiring the LEAST risk. They try to create a risk/$$ ratio. That is why you might see rate increses based on low credit scores. It's not so they can charge people with low credit more it's so they can charge people with high credit LESS and hence acquire the business they really want.

6. I am not saying CURE is a bad comapny. but you read their marketing like you wrote it. Here's what they are saying:
no discount for high credit scores
no discount for higher education
no discount for home ownership.
no discount for having home and auto insurance together.

7. i work with both companies that do and do not rate by credit rating, and they both have advantages. That is why i encourage people to shop. ABSOLUTELY NO COMPANY IS RIGHT FOR EVERYONE.

8. CURE likely rates by Age, Vehicle, Driving record, and location, miles driven per year, *** and probably other factors. just like everyone else.

9. So you want the government to step in and tell a business how to determin who they want as customers? keep that in mind when reviewing your poitical beliefs.

Its not controversial, the owner is just a flamming liberal. Heck look at the name.

The question is, would you support said owner, as the rates he provides arent half bad. I wouldnt, but I would use their price as a baseline.

Ah boycotting a business becasue the owner has beliefs different than yours. It's the American way. lol

Thats capitalism at work I 'spose. May hate the politics but they do have pretty decent rates...which one weighs more heavily?

You've got your politics mixed up, this is a communist nation. Judging people by their credit scores and education IS total BS......That's kinda like saying all black people steal, all Mexicans only speak Spanish, all whites are rich, all Germans are supremacists, all **** are frugal and all politicians are the same. This is not a "one size fits all" department store. Yes, I am reviewing my political beliefs. You might say I'm like the Dale Gribble of OB and let's just leave it at that. EVERYONE is out to get somewhere using something. That is the truth.
