Any of you ever heard of noodlin

Not that kind of noodlin... This isn't the girls,girls,girls area....

No the kind of noodlin where you get in a creek, stream or river... run along the edge's of the banks and find hollows.... then using your hand as bait you stick your arm under the bank and wiggle your fingers around like worms and wait for a hit....

There have been guys that have drowned doing this because they caught some catfish that didn't want to let go...

I don't know how this guy got this one but I know I never want to try this....

Oh... and BTW Snopes did a piece on this and have found that these are real pic's of real catfish....

I sure hope somebody likes catfish........................they are going to be eating it for a while! Hell with a fish like that you'd have to sell it in halves and quarters like beef! By the way I have seen a show on tv where guys were noodling for fish just as you describe...........very cool!

Just stumbled across this one.

Down where I come form, guys will strap a hay hook to their arm, so they don't have to hold on, while they're draggin it out. The downside is, if you get overmatched, you can't get away.

We call that hole fishing down here you stick your arms in there and pull em out if its a deep hole you poke a stick in there. One fellow had the skin peeled off his arm once. There ain't never been one that big caught around here that I know of.

Yup, but its easier to get away from the mallard marshall, if you light a stick, toss it to him, and say,

"You gonna talk, or fish?"

I know a guy back home (Nebraska) that lost his big toe doing that! Called stump fishing by some.
