If DI engines dont need glow plugs, then why do the power strokes have them? I assume they do correct?

i did some checking on group 31S batteries...

my price from autozone is $90 but i dont know the ratings...
price from sears is $120 or $140, but i dont know the ratings...
walmart was useless, they didnt even know what i was talking about.
