Another Newbie with questions

Hello to all,
I know very little about Diesel engines, but have been considering one. I have been looking on line and found an 01 Dodge 2500 4x4 quad short bed. has the 24v with 230k miles. It's listed as having new injection pump, lift pump and edge programmer. 11k$. 230k all highway miles. Sounds like a ton of miles to me, but I know diesels go along way. Do you think this truck is used up? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks. I've just started looking.

To newbee from newbee my 2000 dually has 240k and ive put 80k on it my self asside from regular maintenance and IP,s it's got a lot of life in her.If its not thrashed go for it.

Thanks for the input OC. I will keep looking at this website and learn. these diesels are a different animal to me. I don't know if the trucke has been abused or not. It's on Ebay and in NY so it's almost impossible to check it out other than talking to the guy.
