Here's the broken bit. I don't know enough about these trucks to make heads or tails of it.
He can't get the linkage parts off the pump to replace just those and suggests a new pump since damaging this one would make it unusable as a core.

Thanks for the pics of the pump. I see what is going on now.
How would the advance plunger get spit out of the pump? Supposedly this pump is less than 2 years old. And I assume you can't just reassemble it...
Of course, the supply of moose pumps has dried up for a few weeks... Having so many good times with this truck already.

Well look on the bright side, that pump could have **** the bed on the drive home, now you can haggle price down major, and like I said in the PM if you can get your hands on a trailer ill haul it

In all honesty I would haul it home and fix it yourself. As towcat posted.. That pump is shot the *** out the sides of it.. Sad thing too because it was something that could have been solved with a little maintance and oil. So another pump is around $500.00 for a QYUALITY PUMP... Sure you can get ebay pumps for the $350.00 range but know this... You very much get what you pay for on ebay... Some of those sellers are some bad suckers. Please read about a few of them in the Hall of Shame forum.. Installing a pump on that engine is easy but not ever doing one can be a tuff job but we are here ready to walk you thru it.. Really only a few bolts, nuts and fuel lines. Then it lifts out easy with the hard lines still on it.

Yeah, could be worse. Considering it died after him moving it in his driveway twice since I test drove it, it probably would have given up on me as soon I had hit the highway. The seller is being really good about helping me get the truck going again. He says he can install a pump and will do so.

good deal. Ask to see his "special injection pump wrench". Id say most people have some wrench that they have bent, ground, twisted etc to get at that nut that holds the IP on. The reason to ask is because if he says "naw I just take the whole gear housing off its easier" then I would be hesitent of his ability. You never want to remove the gear housing because it is next to impossible to line the pump gear and the cam gear.
