what size isspro ammeter would work for my truck??? 60 amp, 100 amp, 40 amp? im not an electrician , and a buddy of mine has a 60 amp that he will sell to me for 15 bucks brand new.... hopefully that one will work
I've got to ask, why would you want a ammeter in your truck, you do know that all your voltage load is supposed to go through a ammeter, that could be well over 100 amps, I suppose you could use a shunt but thats just more wiring to add.
I would suspect you will only measure the key on circuit and not the glow plugs and starter, so whatever the rating of your alternator is, should be sufficient. An Ameter is much more usefull than a voltmeter in many ways.
