Those fittings I showed from Grainger are $20 each and the 8 FT hose was ~$75. Thats a good chunk of $$$. A hydraulic shop might be less, and they can make up the hose to exact length.
Just a thought on fueling, you'd have to wait for tanks to equalize and keep checking the level.
