I have the 088 ATS turbo on my truck with a K&N air filter. It's fed air through the stock plastic air ducting that Ford used from the air cleaner up to the grille area cookoo. What is a good alternative for an intake system that will allow better (and hopefully colder) air flow to the filter housing?

tknomaj, did you notice any better performance in any way? I've read on other forums that during the summer and using the a/c, duct flow/cooling was affected. I've got the same setup as k_williams, so I'm curious as well.

Thanks,
Foz

I can get irrigation pipe, but no TIG welder... What would you charge to build it up for me?

hypermax cold air

To be honest i have not noticed any difference in air volume. I cut hole and installed to cowel with alum rivnuts and ss allen pan head bolts and sealed with 3m sticky rope sealer so no hot air. but i have only driven my truck about 1 mi longest drive since keep coming up with more mods but air was cold and blows just as hard as my 93 bronco even at 60mi was affriad to go faster in a 40 zone

I've run mine without the snorkel, but not for any real length of time. I did like hearing the turbo spool up though.

You could always fab up an intake out of exhaust pipe...that's what I did. 4" pipe makes a good intake (and it sounds cool too)
