Since I didn't sell her and glad I didn't. Thought I'd give her a little face uplift. Took me two weeks of careful surgery. Hey, I'm an OLD geezer at 85. At least 30 hrs of masking, 4-5 hrs a day, then 5 minutes of painting. Did the box first, then the hood and front fenders, then the the drivers side door, then the other three doors, For Cris sakes why didn't I do the roof first, had to mask the whole truck to do that. Was really leary about crawling up on the roof, had to replace the running lite bulbs anyhow. Gonna keep her to tow the 5er, 11,500#. kellyj was over and he drove, said it seems it's got a lot of power. Sorry to say, painted her Chevy Truck White.

Well guys, what ya think of her? Last pic--Hello OB'ers from the White Knight.

Wow...impressive! Kudos to you..

Wasn't it you whom couldn't open the hood cause of cable breakage? If so I got a neat trick for that now! LOL ;Poke

Very nice. Makes me want to fire up the compressor and bust out the Sharpe Platinum and get busy covering up my rusty hood. White paint sure has a way of looking ultra clean. Probably gonna want to put those mirrors back on before hooking up.

Nice looking finish. Glad you kept it too. Have you turned up the boost on the Banks turbo. My last road trip with about 3000 lbs of wet sand in my truck I saw 15 lbs on my boost gauge and about 900 degrees..:sly Not getting much use after 13 lbs but it was nice to see anyway. The sidewinders can boost easily if you adjust them. I found its easier to remove the boost can and "fix it so you can tighten the gate on the turbo so it stays closed till pressure gets higher.. Also may want to know the dome lite has a screw in it that sometimes grounds and blows the fuse. Really not that big of a deal but that fuse is also the power fuse to the E4OD cpu. A member had his children on top of his crewcab and it went into limp home mode. After plenty of work he found the problem and removed the screw that mounts the lite to the cab roof and ground down the too long screw. No more grounding issues and limp home mode.. For me I would just keep the kiddeis off my cab roof. Problem fixed and it cost nothing but words.. Happy to see the legg is allowing you out doors too.

Never did anything with the turbo Gary. Member kellyj was over couple weeks ago and drove it, he punched it and got 17# boost. That fuse for the dome lite, found out about that 3 yrs.ago, Grandson bought a F250, drove me nuts trying to figure why the limp mode, IIRC it wouldn't start either.

Yeah, that really makes it stand out and shinny too. Got a few runs but will fix them, just goes to show I got plenty of paint on. :D

I really like those mirrors for towing. Either out or in. they work great. Our factory ladys compact size mirrors takes so getting used to after those big boys...

Looking great, OLDBULL8!! She's even more of a head-turner now!

The "before" looks better than my rig. Out here in Cali, we often see commission-driven salesdudes at gas stations, hawking whatever-makes-your-car-shiny-stuff. I have to laugh when one of them approaches me, since my old van's a sad combination of oxidized factory white & several areas of white rattle can! (POs must have dented her up a little)

I do have plans for making her pretty, but mechanicals first. Who knew I'd still be wrenching on her four years later???? Haven't made time for pulling the engine (again.......)
