I personally use standadyne. I get a few miles a gallon better and my truck runs really smooth.
Same here: a pint of the Walmart Supertech 2-cycle oil per tank. That works out to a little more than an ounce to the gallon, since the tank usually isn't empty when I fuel up. Also, this time of year I put in a pint of Powerservice white bottle additive per tank.16oz. per tank, so a quart split between both tanks. Any cheap 2 cycle works great.I try and buy it by the gallon so I am not always running out of it,plus it is cheaper that way. I do this in all my diesel engines, since they are older then 2000.

adding lubricity to the fuel is adding lubricity so you could really use any oil. I use atf because it's supposed to have quite a bit of detergents in it to keep stuff clean. I've also had good luck with lucas fuel treatment it's pretty thick tooWhat is atf made of exactly and do you use that versus the 2 stroke oil?
I have used that same power service you're talking about, and it seems to only be good for anti-gel purposes.
I realize that it is supposed to be a lubricant, but my point was that it doesn't seem to smooth the engine out any, or make a noticeable difference.According to their site, it also has a lubricant:
"Contains Slickdiesel® Lubricator to protect fuel pumps and injectors from increased wear caused by poor quality Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) fuel"

I am kind of old school with my techniques. Here's the Ole' list
For a deep clean of the entire fuel system-
*40% kerosene to 60% diesel.
For IP lubrication-
*16oz. Of 2 cycle oil per tank.
A little extra something in the engine oil-
*marvel mystery oil.just dump in the whole bottle!
Anti-gel-
*power service or peak.
I just bought 10 quarts of peak at ollies, for 1.99 each, so I am currently using peak.

I don't see why not. I believe marvel is recommended for use in fuel systems, so there is no reason not to. I think that it all comes down to price. You can use old motor oil if you want and trust me, there are lots of old farmers that do that, but they all do the same thing. I like 2 cycle because it is cheap, burns cleaner, and I can buy it in bulk.Ive used marvel for years and years and now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder about using it in the fuel in place of say the 2 stroke oil? Any thoughts?
I personally don't run atf, because it's a lot different then the old atf that was great for diesel engines.
