My question is "cooked" - how? What failed?Of course. Many variables. Corey (Dieselcrawler) cooked his engine pulling a trailer. iirc, I think he said he wasn't much over 1150° and not for very long either
Did he have a coolant temp gauge? What was it reading?
I've personally done a few runs at 1150-1200 F pre-turbo(so hotter at the manifold) uphill with trailer in various trucks; never had an issue, but I was backing off when the coolant reached 235 or so.
