7.8 liter Ford turbo, direct injection q's.

So I just sealed a deal for a 1992 F-800 to replace the CTD dodge that I killed.
It's got a 7.8 I-6 direct injection w/ a turbo.
It's got 89,000 miles on it.
Everyone tell me everything you know about this engine. It's rated at 240 horepower.
What are some good performance mods? Propane? Water/****?

Ford / New Holland engine. 210hp. Looks like it was installed in just about anything big w/ wheels.

7.8 is 476 cubic inches. It's probably a Brazilian Ford diesel.

Yeah I'm real sure that's a Brazilan Ford Diesel. Supposedly rugged, not too much power though. A guy we used to chat with on the Diesel Stop had one in a log truck. He went by South 40....don't know if he still posts there or here, but he had that and a bunch of 6.9s and a 7.8 in an F900.
