You are an Old Timer....just saying...;Poke

Yeah we have lost a lot of knowledgeable guys over the years
with a Rolo Dex of info between the ears.

Too bad we can`t plug into them and down load all that info....

Yeah.........Well just cause I got another one of those nasty unwanted birthdays coming up in another 35 days don't mean I R Very happy bout it!!! o_Oo_O
And just think, bout 60+ yr or so ago I couldn't wait till I got older so I could slip into the beer joints!!
And with all this new AI we should be able to "Plug into them & download all that info
real soon"..... probably in about another 6 months or so.
And don't plan on "Plugging into me" cause I'm still a "Learner, Not a Smartie!!"
LOL LOL

Yeah I wondered bout this also. I would figure maybe a bit smaller O ring, but also maybe not.
Man I sure wish Russ was still around!!!!!
And for that matter I wish LOTS of those other Old-Timers were still around.....just seems more & more of them are slowly fading away!!!
Just now realized I was replying to a comment from a year ago lol
"Last seen Oct 3, 2024" probably not gonna get an answer

I have some that won’t seal no matter what, I even got the super nifty machined rails from R and D and they still won’t seal. I’m convinced there’s scoring on the injectors or something I can’t see.

Are basically impossible to seal the first time in my experience. Oil the second new set of O rings, after cleaning everything up with a rag first. Should go right on, leak free. The first set always gets a bit cut up in my experience.

I had this happen a few years back and I found that from somebody cranking the hell out of the nut the Metal area that goes into the injector was distorted. So when the next time you do the returns the end of the line is distorted and won't seal up properly. Then you get a leaky cap no matter what. I took off 2 injector lines and gently filed the "seating" out of the end of the injector lines. Kind of brought them back to shape. They never leaked again. This could be something you might want to look at. Just sayin...

LOL LOL LOL ;Poke;Poke I wonder what Gorilla Glue might do in a "Fix" or a "Roadside Bind" or a "Aaawh HECK lets try it" or a "Early Lesson before I knew better" or like couple of my other "BOO-BOOES" I've posted about in the past?????

Speaking of Gorilla Glue......Once I looked a complete '94 FTIDI truck & very young guy had it for sale for cheap, said it ran but not rite & made funny noises, said he had been doing lots of work on it.
Pretty cheap but I passed.
Couple yr later I found nother '94 FTIDI truck for sale in nother town about 25mi away. Bed gone, Tranny gone, lots stuff gone.....running engine & sounded good, etc, etc...."Good" Spare EXTRA Working IP in the deal......Bought it all for spare for nearly double what 1st truck was to cost.
Got it home & got to thinking & looking......finally decided IT WAS 1ST TRUCK I HAD LOOKED AT COUPLE YR EARLIER FOR NEARLY 1/2 THE COST???!!!!!!!

Well anyway....there I was with '94 FTIDI etc etc........& BTW, usually on some my long cross-country VERY HEAVY LOADED trips I used to make I tried to carry few spare parts cause "Ya-Never-Know, Might Roadside Need Them"........So I usually carried spare set injectors, & running IP, & starter, &&&&.......

So once me & Carol & some our boys/sons coming back from Tx, Loaded bout 32K+ GVW, January, middle nite & bout -25*,flaking snow.........Finally figured out something in fuel, IP, etc, etc.
Had 2 spare IP with me. Picked one & me & Carol changed it out & the injectors etc, etc

Got it going & running great, finished trip.
Few weeks later got to looking at other spare IP I had carried with me. Turned out the little plate on side, plate i/you loosen & open to crank up fuel 1 or 2 or 3 flats.......well somebody before me had stripped the bolts & little thin gasket holding the plate on....... So they had just used some Gorilla Glue & JB Weld to "FIX" it!!!!!
It sure had held the plate on, but sort'a filled internals of IP with little ittiy-bbity pieces of Gorilla Glue!!!

I'm in process of writing a book, going to B about 20"x20"x20" (LxWxH)......so far I got title figured out!!! HINDSITE!!!
-Playme-Playme:D:rolleyes::rolleyes:
