I am thinking of rebuilding a 6.9 ltr engine and the heads are no good.Anyone know where to get new or rebuilt ones?

Dieselcast welding. They have a god web page. You can run the 7.3 heads on any 6.9 by removing the freeze plugs in the heads that covers the coolant passages in the lower corners. Several members have run the 6.9 head gaskets on the 7.3 by opening up these coolant passages too. No issues either. The 6.9 & 7.3 in drilled the same. Even have the same coolant passages.
well geeze! Thanks Gary,I happen to have an extra set of heads for a 7.3 sitting around. I didn't know they could be used for a 6.9 Thanks for the info.Hopefully they are not full of cracks like the 6.9s---Rob
