2x4 to 4x4 swap. What years for parts?

If you want to keep a dually, just get spacers for the front axle. My dad has a F-250 single cab(so dana 44 front axle, weakest axle under an IDI), and the previous owner had converted it to dually for hauling a large camper. Spacers front and back.
No clue how many years he ran it like that; my dad ran it the same way until he had to buy tires a year or so ago, and went back to SRW. Either way... spacers front and back, with no ill effects.

Thanks for the info. I need to track down the parts now. Hopefully a donor truck.

FWIW, the SRW rear axles are ~4" narrower than the fronts. Depending on what you're doing, it may be favourable to keep your wide axle and bolt on singles. DRW is a stronger housing too.
