I agree with greenskeeper on the continuity test - not 100% reliable. They can conduct when cold, but the moment they get power, the heat expansion breaks the connection. I use a DC clamp ammeter.

Project has been back burnered again as the shop gets busier. I can understand the reasoning for what has been suggested though. Appreciate the help.
