    i had an intake heater installed on my idi and i will tell you it will have its best results after the turbo. if you go before it can't keep the air hot enough by the time it reaches the cold intake manifold.

    How long to glow in single digit temps?

    normally the glow plugs stay on for about 15 secs if in the single digits, but if you have a manual plugs I would leave them on for about 20 to 25 secs.

    it shouldn't be too hard. i did a swap with my 87 ford. Took out the 6.9 and the four speed, and put in a 7.3 with a five speed. Took a week.

    well everytime we put on a filter, we start it for a couple of seconds then have to turn it off, because of all the oil on the ground. i think we are on our fourth filter now. and the oil looks like its pushin through the oil filter gasket

    oil gauge or pump problem

    :dunno On my 7.3 idi i went and replaced the oil pressure sensor because the gauge wasn't readin right, but the gauge still pegs out like its getting a too much pressure and it does it all the time. Is it my gauge or is it my oil pump.
