Have 10-15 maybe more 6.9 7.3 injection pump cores. I am know that some of them were running fine, but unfortunately stuff was not labeled, and has been moved around and I just dont remember. Also have incomplete pumps and pump parts.

What do I do with this stuff? Will be keeping a couple parts/pieces for my self, but will be getting rid of the rest. I see that cdd is paying for cores, but seems like a hassle to ship that much....maybe he doesnt want that many?

I would hate to throw such things away....I just got rid of my last couple to one of the members that lives close and needed one. Im moving, so im simplifying......if i wasn't moving, id be glad to have 2-3 on the shelf just because, wether they worked or not. 10-15 is a bunch, im sure others will buy them.

Call r&d or the othe builders,
Ask about selling him cores, usually I think $100 core charge was usually added to the cost.

I would assume any of the pump builders would want them. I would call and ask.
or make an add here and see if a couple members would want one.

I know CDD gives 225 per good core. Which is probably the best bang for your buck. Yes shipping can be expensive, ive used UPS and it's not terrible to do. Making sure you pack your boxes tight and dry Injectors are a good cheap quick way to make credit too, I got like 4 pumps ready to ship now and lets say it cost me $90 to ship From WI To TX Ill still get $810 in "free" money to work with and if you got all that just think you could almost buy the stage 1 or stage 2 kit or whatever you are looking for.

They are needing cores because they get the ones that were used with WMO and some are not rebuildable. Don't you remember a few years ago the Agnem guy was asking for good cores for this reason?

Also shipped them core parts for store credit. Valve covers, injectors, an old Banks turbo, and an injection pump. As for packaging the injection pumps, CDD warns you to make certain all of the old fuel is drained to avoid the shipper (FedEx, UPS, etc) rejecting the package as hazardous. Cleaned the injection pump with carb cleaner, then wrapped it in old rags, then put it inside of two ziplock bags prior to boxing. Those expanding foam packs work great to conform around irregular shapes! Shipping was a little expensive through our local service (if memory serves it was around $100 and two boxes). This was for $900 worth of core parts. Next time may try a different shipping method??? One of my friends suggested an online service called "Pirate Ship"??? Never tried it.
Overall, I think CDD core buy back program is great!

Thanks for the input. I might try to contact cdd again, and maybe put a pallet of stuff together.
Have many valve covers, a few intakes and a pile of oil coolers. Dont really have a need for store credit though, as expensive as fuel system parts are for the idi now, and since this 7.3 was worn out, have moved on to a 12v motor for my main use pickup.

I do plan on putting together another truck using an idit motor, but I dont think I need anything for it.

I sent what injector cores I had left a few years ago to Russ, that was a pretty healthy check.....had way more than I thought.
