Out here Cats and little doggies become hors d'oeuvres for the Coyote's.

Every once in a while there is a flyer taped to the cluster box`s (Mail) about some lost cat or Dog.

Some Coyote`s out here are as big as small deer.

Amber fender side lights were pretty faded and edges cracked and flaking off, original 38 yr old lights. thought about finding a better set at PNP, but all that junk is just as bad.

Looked on E-bay, and found some with LED lights.
Got them in the mail a few day`s ago, and yesterday installed them.

You need to remove both batteries to access the 2 nuts inside the holes in the fenders. 13mm 1/4" deep Socket worked good.
Might need a telescoping magnet to retrieve the nut after dropping it a few times, or it falls off the socket getting it inside the fender hole.

Light bulb is one of the small push bulbs with the bent wires. The new light has a flat connector that pushes into the socket.
I installed the new light then found it difficult to get it plugged together. Not much room to get my hands in there.

Finally removed the light, pulled the Pig Tail through the fender, and plugged the wires together, feed the wires into the light and install the rubber plug connector.

They are bright in the day light, but at night it lights up the front yard....LOL
Didn`t realized how dim the old lights were.

If you are into the smoke light`s or clear etc... they have them also.

I’ve got myself a very befuddling problem. I purchased a headlight relay harness from bronco graveyard, since the price was quite low, it appears to be of good quality. and then I wouldn’t have to figure out how to make it for myself. The thing is, my daytime running lights, and high beams, do not work with it plugged in. It works fine without the relay harness. Does anyone know why that might be? The relays take power from the battery and supply to the headlights, and use one of the old headlight bulb plugs to activate the relay, so that your switch would in theory work the same. It only has two ground points, one for each headlight. The relays themselves appear to ground through the harness, and perhaps share the ground with the headlights.

I used my 6.9 today to pull an Amazon truck out of a muddy and snowy ditch next to the driveway - video below. It's stuck much deeper than it looks in the video. The driver was very happy, and I think the F-250 was, too.

That's not a bad price. I may have to order a pair myself.

I don't know how the daytime running lights are activated. I have what's probably the same harness on two of my trucks and have no issues. No day time running lights. I think that the issue must be relayed to both the high beams and daytime lights on your truck. I think that you need to find a wiring diagram.

Is this for your 1986 truck? If so, I have the electrical and vacuum manual so I could send you a picture of the pages you may need.

If I remember right the Canadian version might have daytime running lights which are different than just running lights, so wiring will be different.

Yes, as stated in my post, I do have daytime running lights.

I have one of those on my truck and recently my high beams stopped working. What I found was the wires in the headlight socket would slide back and not make contact. I had to hold the wire as I plugged in the harness for them to make contact. Could be it or maybe not.

Could be… I’ll mess with it more probably this weekend, I’m busy late this week…

Headlights on the service truck started flickering on the drive home, played with the switch and I think it’s the culprit. Might be part of my problem with the relay harness… :dunno Gonna order a new radiator for it too… old one doesn’t leak but I think it’s a bit plugged, so I think I’ll just get a new one. And add a coolant filter, as well as switch to precharged coolant.

Ordered a timing meter here a few days back, supposed to arrive late next week.
