Here's a question for those who know, I got to do the exhaust soon on this thing and I want it reasonably quiet. I'm going to do 2.5in from the manifolds to the 4in stacks. I don't want fancy or expensive, so will a pair of 24in Cherry Bombs quiet it down? Or I found a 6in thick straight through thing made by "Upower" on Amazon, do y'all think that might shut it up?
If its turbo it probly wont be too loud mines not

Well, I think I'm totally done with ANYONE working on my stuff. I've had a local guy do exhaust on a couple of my vehicles, and it hasn't been what I wanted but he's been decent. The thing is he can't do my tow truck, his lift stops at 9Klbs and the tow truck is a bit more than that. So there's another guy that can bend pipe and I've talked to him and we agreed that he could bend pipe and I'd do all the under the truck work because his lift won't touch my truck either. The problem is, he doesn't return my calls.........

So it's time to broaden my mechanical horizons, that's right SCREW EM, I'll do my own pipes!

My truck obviously has the 4"stacks, I just have to get from the engine to the stacks......... nothing to it.

I found some kits on ebay/Amazon of prebent pipes that had a bunch of great reviews for $100. The people who complained appeared to have irrational expectations. So I bought a kit of 2.5" and got it today (i actually delivered it to myself, I drive for FedEx) It really is some good pipe, it's a lot thicker than I expected. It'll be next week sometimes before I start on this but I figured I'd try to get some general feedback from y'all. The first thing you will want to ask about the kit is, "what are the"U"shapes for?" My answer is, "I don't know." But if you look these kits up, there's a few guys that posted pictures of unique ideas they had of how to use them.
There's 2-90°s 2-45°s 2-4' straights and 2 "U"s

I'm just straight piping it for now, I'm tired of the octopus that lives under my truck.

Yeah right, my exhaust looks like the hydra after Godzilla ripped him apart! But at least it doesn't sound like a Cummins farting down the highway!
Mine is headers, a cat I welded on, some junk adapters to extend it, then a geo tracker muffler. It's held on by coat hangers, and the tip extends out a good 20" past the bumper haha

Well it was wet outside so I wasn't gonna crawl under it to show the joke of an exhaust
I have, but here's my joke of a tail pipe!

That's pretty rediculus. What makes it bad is that it shows the apathy of a full time mechanic with his vehicle. Because if it wasn't for the fact that you probably get tired of working on stuff all the time you'd take a sawzall and knock the extra off. I completely understand.

Actually I intentionally leave it cause one, it's funny, and two, if people shin themselves on it, they're too dang close to my car. In reality it sticks out about the same distance as the hung spare.
I actually do take good care of this thing. I've converted it to 1.6 liter fuel injection, rebuilt trans, rebuilt rear axle, and sorted out all the wiring gremlins it had. Other than trying to get my dang evap monitor passed, there's literally nothing mechanically wrong with it.
