Here is the update on the filter change. Son changed the filter but found it was leaking before change. It had a valve somewhat like I have on my early 99. He hunted down a new O-ring changed out the filter and all is good. Our friend called to thank him again...

If I remember right that the 55 ford Customline with the 272 v-8 with heater had a 32 qt. cooling system which is the same as my 99 PSD. The customline was a sedan. Hope this helps.
I have a South bend clutch, and have had it for about 95K. I tow about 10 times a year a 6800 lb. travel trailer and about 4 times a 9000Gross Flat bed trailer. The clutch works just fine. Hope this helps. Joe
Having the engine apart you might as well ballence it. Ive found that on engines I have rebuilt that they seem to last longer than those I haven't ballenced.
