i need to make a purchase,
normally i would use a dual friction centerforce. but... i only have experience with gassers.
i will be towing with this truck, and i would like to tow a max of 7,000 lbs on occasion.
please tell me what clutch you have, how long you have had it, and if you tow or not.

thanks guys, you rock!
im looking at a price range of about $500

I have a South bend clutch, and have had it for about 95K. I tow about 10 times a year a 6800 lb. travel trailer and about 4 times a 9000Gross Flat bed trailer. The clutch works just fine. Hope this helps. Joe

I went to O'reilly's and got a SACH's 12" clutch and conversion kit, they are going with PowerTorque now though. SACH's is a brand of ZF so I figured it would work good. The only complaint I have is it chatters a bit more in reverse(only with a load) than the factory setup but otherwise holds every load I throw behind it. I imagine the chatter wouldn't be an issue if I had the forethought to use 4-Lo when backing as nothing I tow is light.
