    Up date on filter location. Here is the update on the filter change. Son changed the filter but found it was leaking before change. It had a valve somewhat like I have on my early 99. He hunted down a new O-ring changed out the filter and all is good. Our friend called to thank him again...

    If I remember right that the 55 ford Customline with the 272 v-8 with heater had a 32 qt. cooling system which is the same as my 99 PSD. The customline was a sedan. Hope this helps.

    what type of clutch are you running??

    I have a South bend clutch, and have had it for about 95K. I tow about 10 times a year a 6800 lb. travel trailer and about 4 times a 9000Gross Flat bed trailer. The clutch works just fine. Hope this helps. Joe

    Having the engine apart you might as well ballence it. Ive found that on engines I have rebuilt that they seem to last longer than those I haven't ballenced.

    I heard or read somewhere that you have to drag the brakes to get the L\S to hook up. while starting off gently. It would be worth a try.

    Crazy idea...diesel in a 96 Isuzu Trooper

    If you put a Mercedes in a trooper then would you have, A Storm Trooper ? The Idea of the Mercedes might fit and they seem to be good engines. Another thing is that some came with stick shifts. At leased in europe.

    U-Turns/Turning radius!!!

    My 99 is just like your 4X4 s for turning. To do a U-turn on a normal street you must back up , or blow the rear around. The new trucks with the coil springs in front have a tighter turning radius. 99 XLT 4X4 F-350 SRW Extended cab.

    The one I have is from Steelhorse . I have my CB in the middle. My son is tall from the waist up and says that it blocks his vision some. But for me It works great. Joe
