My OSB was 2 coats walmart primer 2 coats walmart paint from 5 gal buckets...sure made it easier painting ceiling panels first. Need 7 more 3/8 sheets OSB anr tad more paint to complete it...no lift all ladder work...ugh
Yer shop is so much more bitchen....like the winch idea. May see if can do something similar tied to floor though....

Tried the winch tonight.
Sorry it's so dark but I haven't got the lights back up. My helper is running the winch remotely at a safe distance. Guided it right in.
The only issue with the winch is this one doesn't spool very well. I've had problems with it every time I've used it. I end up spoiling the cable all off it and despoiling it every time I use it but it's better than nothing.
I also got my cabinet hung up for my paint supplies and other fragile type things.
Less than $60 from HF with coupon. It's 4x2x 8" deep there about. Bargain. I may put some handles on it because I don't really need the keys.

So I'm trying to decide if I'm doing my walls roman shade style or panels with the tarps stretched around them. I see advantages and disadvantages to both. Going to need at a minimum a corner post either way. Guess I'll try to sort that today.

I know there is no such thing as too much light when painting. Hopefully this will be enough. 6 four foot twin tube T8 lamps.
I started framing up the walls. I'll hopefully have pics tomorrow of at least the big wall done.

It may seem like I'm sleeping but I can assure you I'm not. [emoji15]
Got the black board moved.
Used the cherry picker. That thing is heavy.
Used the winch to pull the truck in out of the rain. Used the winch. Did I mention that it's TOTALLY worth it?
Framed up the air filter box.
I'll put vinyl J channel on there to hold the filters.
It will hold 5 24x24 filters plus a 24x18 inch filter to give me about 23 sq ft of possible filter area. Given my 2300 cfm fan, that works out to be 100 fpm which is osha standard. That neglects filter pressure drops of course. Not bad. I can replace filter panels with wood panels to adjust the flow of it's too much but my gut says it will be about right if I can keep enough heat. Not a problem in the summer.
Now all that is left is to hang it and the corner posts. Here is the back corner and part of the ceiling.
I'm going to sandwich the tarps between two boards on the frame with relief pockets for the eyes. I'll cut the tarps down to horizontal length. Put new eyes in. Got the kit for that yesterday.
I decided I'm going to roman shade this thing so to recover the space, it will be pull the side boards, pull the ropes and it should roll up. Pull the corner post out and be done.
That's the plan anyway. We shall see.

This is turning out to be a sweet setup Mike. Man you are going to have to get another truck to work on once you paint yours. 
My wife might disagree with that assessment. Part of the challenge with this project has been building the infrastructure that I need to do the work safely and effectively by myself. Am I going overboard on this? Probably. Will it be worth it? I hope so. I could see painting a car a year or doing a little collision work on the side if this works out well. I'm out to see if I can still do this stuff and I'm trying to give myself a fair shake. If I can't pull it off after this, then my chances of ever succeeding are pretty slim. If I can get a decent result this time, maybe I have a shot at someday being at least adequate.
At the end of the day, I'm not out a lot if the booth is a fail. The ceiling and lights were a given anyway. If nothing else, the curtains will make it easier to warm a work space.

i completely and holeheartedly disagree with this statement.
you have a strong will to get things done and make things better.
ive seen some outstanding work done on your truck that would baffle most people.
remember, successes in life may feel good, but its the failures weve encountered that make us strive to find a way to succeed!

my old garage used aircraft cable and some large blue tarps for moving walls. when i go to paint my dually im tempted to buy one of those portable canvas garages and put it outside next to my garage.

can't do much worse then this....painted this in the middle of the alley in front of my old garage in 95* weather in June...
