Well set you phone down and get to work. LOL

Just a lil update for Y'all, we spent the weekend at the campground and got all of the little nit picky things figured out and met with all parties involved. The campground is looking forward to us being there, including some of the seasonals as well. Routes have been plotted and activity schedules will be printed to paper this week.

One of the seasonal couples that we burned some firewood with this weekend have some local connections and may be able to draw in a few more IDI owners and spectators to the event and hopefully help with the fundraiser event as well.
Meeting with Chief Frayer this weekend he will have a couple of trucks there for the event and a few of his crew as well and is excited about what we are doing for his department.

We also met with Aaron a Pure Tuning and we will most definitely need to carpool to the shop. Parking is limited as the shop is in the city limits of Toledo.
So for those running on the rollers those trucks are a no brainer. But we will need to condense trucks to minimize parking issues.
Aaron has a shop full of cars right now since its hot and heavy full tilt race season we will have to have Mel's timing clinic in front of one of his shop bays. Was hoping to snag a bay in the shop but seeing how busy they are there I understand.
They run a Mustang dyno and it's a little wierd seeing a second set of rollers in place for the awd cars but there'll be no problems running trucks all the way up to the crew cab duallies. :D

Those for the Henry Ford will need to be prepared for a FULL day on the grounds as there so much to see and do.

Also for the Chinese grab bag gift exchange, it'll be played again this year after our holiday cookout and awards presentation and am setting the limit to $25.00. This should give us enough time to burn for night time to come so we can enjoy the fireworks display that the campground will be putting on. :D

Soo after spending the weekend there and getting my camp on, I'm excited!
Clocks ticking and Jim will be there do get those trucks polished up.... That goes for you too Jim!! LOL

Spoke with fire chief Jim Frayer and he's excited about the raffle and will have a truck and members there for the judging.
how big of a rig are they bringing?

Now raffle ticket prices are going to be $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00.
Darrin will be in charge of raffle ticket sales so those who are attending see him for tickets as he will be selling them up to the time of the awards ceremony on Wednesday the 4th.
will do

For each truck entered there will be a $20.00 entry fee and I will have the registration forms available for those wishing to enter the event and what categories you would like to have your truck judged in.
at the rally or before?

I also need to have a rough idea for those wishing to attend the Rouge truck plant as they are wanting a 2 week notice for large groups attending as we have to be bussed over from the Henry Ford as no visitors vehicles are allowed on the grounds.
four total here.

Also for those that haven't sent their contact info pm'ed to me yet please do as if you are a first time attendee or your info has changed from last years rally.
this will be how I can keep track of you guys in case if something were to arise.
still have mine?

thanks for the heads up. lunch on site or something else?

Wow! What's your record for consecutive questions Chris? LOL

They're bringing at least two trucks one of which is a full size tandem axle pumper and either their goat powered brush truck or their ambulance. :D

Registrations fees see me once we get there. And keep in mind, those that have hosted can understand costs. This is hopefully going to work for furture events to help ease the burden for those who may be thinking about hosting but due to the expenses may shy away. In some years past a hat has been passed and proceeds given to the host to help defray expenses. Since we are growing and this being a trial run may help at least cover class and participation awards.
All participants up to the first 50 entrants will receive a participants dash plaque that is of the same design as the class awards. And they look pretty cool. Since that idea started last year, I think it's a great idea to contuinue that as we have outgrown the number of classes and have become a little more serious about the event. I do remember receiving a girls volleyball trophy one year..... Still have it too by the way. :D
So we have grown considerably over the years and becoming more defined as a whole. Might as well make it so.;Sweet

Still got yer number so we good there.

As far as the Henry Ford trip, I am still trying to finalize the itinerary to post but plan on a full day there and prolly lunch as well. It's a hour to and from and will be best to fill the crew cabs and carpool as best as possible to minimize parking expenses.

And for you day visitors please let me know what day(s) and events and contact info also. I have several that have already passed along the their info and thanks.;Sweet
I don't want to leave you guys and gals out. It's gooing to be a great week and don't plan on spoiling anybodys fun.

Stay tuned.
