Insane last minute pre rally projects

A couple of 2X4s and some poly sheeting and you can build a paint booth AT the rally--new workshop, Truck Painting 101.

Why waste the lumber.
I've painted 2 trucks outside and they didn't turn out too shabby. The shop aint quite big enough for a dually to fit in and move around even when clean.


I aint draggin along a 30 gallon compressor tho.

My back seat aint as deep and gary icanfixall's.

i feel for ya ron, i really do. hell, i'm still waiting for my exhaust to arrive. i'm just glad i got the engine set and running. might be making the trip with just the down pipe

Well Goldie got herself a facelift last night in the 92.3 degree heat.

I was hoping for only a 1 hour revamp, but had to move much slower due to the heat and I'm paying for it today.

Well as I informed a few Pennsylvanians last night, I gots blue nosehairs. I don't think Matthias got it.

Yup, signs of a painting adventure.
It was a balmy 97.9 degrees last night at 5:30 when I got home and man did it take alot of mental preparation to go out there and work in a tin can that's been heated all day.

Got the air deflector and both dually fenders in primer, painted and cleared last night in 5 hours.

Coulda been a little faster but my neighbor came over bout the time I needed a break and we shared a couple of cold frosty refreshments and it gave me a chance to dry off.

So upon inspection this morning, I did find a couple of minor runs in the clearcoat, but nuthin I'm gonna worry about in this stage of the game.

Tonight I haneg the fenders, give the ole gal a fresh set of oil filters and oil, then it's off to the trailer.

The light at the end of the tunnel is approaching................... And it is gooooood!

More blue? I did make a few cosmetic changes to eliminate some blue. Still not quite used to the new look tho.

NAW, Droopy made it thru the ordeal safely,

Napa was out of my purdy pink replacement cartridges for my 3M mask and I couldn't put it off another day as they were talking rain today in the forecast.
I had the overhead door open.

Well the blue buggers are gone and Goldie is sporting her new look and some fresh bling.
I'm sooo dang stoked now I can't wait to hit the road.

Got her put back together last night by 8:30. Gave her a well deserved bath and set her out for a photo op.

All I have left are a few odd and end things on her and the rest is fuel processing and go over on the trailer and this dog catcher is ready to go camping!!!
