Should I just get a D60 for my 4x4 conversion?

Kingpin D60 here too, killer axle....Pretty much bullet proof for a rig like mine....I put a $10 set of kingpin bushings in last winter, tightened it right up....Does it ever pull hard in 4LO with the posi rear too....So much weight up front. Used it to muscle a 97 F150 into my garage today that had siezed brakes, nothing the beast and an old tire couldn't handle...LOL

Im almost leaning towards the ball joint over the king pin, as i've replaced ball joints in these before, king pins I'd be completely lost.

when they went to ball joints, were they still high pinions. it seems when i see kingpin 60s for sale they always say high pinion. mine is high pinion. i would also have to say that king pins are eaier to r&r. my next question is..... do the upper bushings come in different "sizes" for lack of better words, to change camber/caster. i was wondering this when i just had them a part to give them a once over.

Caster would involve shims under the springs, the camber of a D60 is good from the factory. I had the aligment of my truck checked at work this week - needs the toe adjusted a little and it needs the caster adjusted according to the specs but it drives just fine with a slight pull to the right...I think the axle spread is off a little.

I would do the swap again without thinking about it is what I meant to say. Sorry for the confusion. I've replaced balljoints and I've replaced kingpins and The balljoints are easier but the the kingpins are not that bad either. Its just more time consuming than anything.
