Cheap Ebay lift

Hey guys! Just trying to get some insight. Has anyone installed one of these cheap block style lifts off Ebay before? I'm not looking to go to anything like a full 4" lift just a small bump up to clear my 35's. Looks like it's about a 2" lift and level. Looks low enough that shocks would still work which I like. Comes with U-bolts. Looks like the only other thing that I might be needed is some upper ball joint camber bushings. Thoughts?

In the pictures, The rear block that is laying on its side looks like it is webbed plastic construction. I would be cautious of that one anyway. I think the idea of it is okay but I would want solid blocks. The front ones in the pictures (not installed) also look like a welded box. I think you would want solid material all the way through. On the installed pictures the lift blocks front and back are not what they show on the uninstalled items. I would look at some others also to make sure you get what your supposed were expecting

You still have the TTB frontend? I would not try to lift that frontend without the pivot brackets.

All you have to do is park the truck on level ground, and then get a jack and jack the frontend up 2 inches by the crossmember or frame(kind of hard to do I know). Then stand back and look at the truck from the front. See how pigeon towed the front tires look? That is what you will end up with. And then you take it to the alignment shop, and expect them to take that back out of it. 2 inches they usually can't. Less than that they sometimes can, but it requires expensive eccentric bushings and a expensive alignment bill.

Great info guys. Yes, I still have the TTB front end. It does what I need when I need it. From the reviews i've read some people don't get exactly what's in the picture and i'd hate to get plastic blocks. I actually prefer the muli leaf pack looking blocks So you can really dial in a right height you like. Contrary to what others do I don't mind a slight rake as I do use my truck for truck stuff. I just want a tiny boost of lift that's all. I also don't mind the drop brackets but they seemed like TOO much drop for a measly 2" block. They look more like for 4" lifts but I could be wrong. I guessing because they're mounted at an angle in the truck that change the location.

If all you're after is tire clearance, why not go with a body lift instead? No suspension changes to worry about.

Each truck is a little different, and different people have different requirements for their trucks. In my experience, 1.5 inches is borderline all you can go with the most extreme eccentric in the upper balljoints. I don't think you can get it back in alignment at 2 inches. But they will sell you the spacers or lift springs without the brackets. Amazing, isn't it?

I have been using "atlas" and "mayflower" brand lifts and tire machines and 80g 2 stage compressor since 2011. They were super cheap and I beat them (now that I think of it... poorly maintain them)
They also have a strangely good customer service when I have needed new parts for them. For one of the lifts I needed a new motor (after it was hit by someone "helping me" pull into shop with trailer) and they suggested I grab a cheap one from Amazon, any brand would work. For my tire machine, if you are good at translating already poorly translated english, they are also super helpful.

I put an add-a-leaf on my old red and white F250 and it did fix the front end sag, but I did have to install offset camber ball joint bushings. I used fixed ones, but I think Moog makes some adjustable ones. You will have to be handy with measuring caster/camber or find a good alignment shop.

By the way, after the add-a-lift, I installed a 2" body lift and pushed my front bumper out about an inch and it cleared 35s nicely and I thought the stance was pretty nice. I think your brick nose has a lot better bumper clearance for taller tires, so an add-a-leaf and the offset ball joint bushings might work out of you.
