Hi I need to get a new injection pump for my 94 7.3 NA engine, I talked to my local injection shop and he quoted me $3,500 to rebuild it due to the head and rotor being shot. He told me Id be better off getting one off line. So I need help deciding on which one to get. I've been looking at the CDD stock 6.9/7.3 60cc N/A pump and have also been looking at R&D's RD2-HPNA 70cc pump. I haven't really found very many reviews on either pump. I know both companies are reputable but am just wondering if any of you guy have any opinion or recommendation on which pump would be better. The truck usually pulls a 20ft equipment trailer with a skid steer on it, I'm guessing the combined weight of the trailer and skid steer is around 12,000lbs. Anything helps thanks.

My advice is that if you think that you may want to put on a turbo in the future, go with the bigger pump. A turbo will help pull that load and it will like the amount of fuel that the bigger pump puts out.

I just paid 1200 for one earlier this year from statadyne approved rebuild. 3500 seems like a go away quote. You can do much better than that.
There's also Moose Diesel for injection pumps. Pulling a load like that skid steer your truck sure would enjoy a turbo. For almost a decade my DD was an N/A 7.3 and it got the job done but now with a turbo I am spooled and spoiled.
I have used both a R&D pump and Moose pump with good results. I have heard others using CDD with good results. Spend with what your wallet will allow, and what is available. As said before, consider a 80cc pump if you plan to turbo in the future.

I just had a pump/set of injectors rebuilt by Moose Diesel for my 6.9, came back working great. Suzi with Moose is great. Only took ~2 weeks from when I sent them in to when I got them back. Can't recommend them enough.

Justin is adding the value of waiting for his stuff by setting up the pump @ 80cc with ability to tune it to 90cc's.
The fueling curve is amazing, just lightly cruising it's ready to spool at will.
I'd say to also look at an intercooler.
