But back to WMO, my truck has started this serge thing a week ago. Kinda like a bad O2 sensor, but it's a mechanically injected diesel. I'm about to lay the duelly up and start driving my tow truck. I've got a couple things left to do to it before it's on the road, but I'm really curious to open up the duallys engine and see the havoc WMO has reeked on it! Any ideas on the serge?

Problems already using WMO? You will not find any havoc in the engine itself, it will all be inside the injection pump and injectors.

I am the one that said if the WMO is clean enough for the injection pump, it's clean enough to pour back in the engine. Just get in the mindset that you ARE slowly ruining your injection pump running WMO, and plan accordingly with a supply of injection pumps in the wings. With the price of fuel now, you may indeed come out on the winning side of things financially, if you can get spare pumps cheap enough.

Ha, it's not a problem for me. I live for the challenge and I don't have an assumption that anything last forever (except God and the souls of men). I've got plenty of injection pumps and nerves of steel to mess with this stuff. I like tinkering, I'm not trying to prove anything.

And HEY, if I start centerfugeing the oil don't think I won't consider putting it in the crankcase. I'm crazy like that.

Most inverted centrifuges we're originally designed for use on engines to significantly lengthen the lifespan of the oil.

Have you ever seen the amount of contaminants in WMO compared to diesel that comes right out of the pump? There's the difference between "clean" and "dirty". Even after having settled, there will still be a lot more stuff mixed in with the WMO that you don't get out of the pump. If you don't believe me, just ask someone to post up their Blackstone lab report.
