Spent a few hours and did my diamond eye exhaust. With some adjustments the tailpipe sits about an inch below my bigass 38 gallon tank.

I was able to spend a couple hours and did the injectors, return line junction, and the whole from accessory drive. Tomorrow morning I’ll go get oil, then I’ll get the front clip back on and work on hooking the wires up.

Today was great. Got the front clip on, starter in, cables on, all the wiring hooked back up, and put the bumper on. I was even able to listen to the radio. I missed the sound of a good set of speakers and a sub.

Tomorrow I will need to do some running around. I gotta get my oil from tractor supply, my last hydroboost line and filter from Napa, get some coolant in it, and maybe even try to start it. It’s about this time on any project my anxiety starts to set in and I feel like I left a screw driver inside of a cylinder or something. I guess we will find out soon. I might make it by graduation.

I didn’t get to fire it up. Although I’m sure I could’ve. I lost the nuts for the crossover pipe and fought the clutch slave cylinder so that will be tomorrow’s job. But other than that I have everything back together. It cranks from the key, the glow plugs come on, and the fuel system is all cherry now.

Got it fired up. It runs beautiful. No coolant being pushed anywhere and only a couple leaks.

now onto the bad part, the different oil cooler I put on here definitely just stuck the oil pressure regulator like my old one did. It was idling at 20 psi. I turned it off. Now it’s idling at 3 psi. Swapped gauges, put it at a different port, highest i saw was 5 psi. Guess the oil cooler is coming off. I won’t make graduation but at least it runs.

On the bright side. I did a little bit of driving. I was accelerating pretty heavily and barely even got past 800 degrees on the pyro. Timing is way off. It runs extremely cool with the 90cc pump and gtx turbo. Boost was right around 13 psi. Something is funky with the hydroboost because it wines a lot when I hold on the brakes. I’m guessing it needs to be bled because it keeps getting quieter. A massive improvement in braking though

I decided to fire it up today and just make sure my craftsman was alright. Fired right up. The timing is really retarded because all it is is lined up on the scribe marks so it smokes a lot and idles really rough until it warms up some. At cold idle oil psi is at 20 but rye minute I go past 1000 rpm it shoots up past 40.

I’ve never experienced a loss of oil pressure. I don’t think it is an internal thing. I think it is the regulator. On my old oil cooler it would idle at 12 psi all day long. Most of the time it was around 15. If you guys have any thoughts to this feel free to chime in. It’s nice having a thread that I can kinda vent my frustrations/thoughts on.
