Towing capacity 94 F350 crewcab dually idit

Bought the truck used and naturally, no owners manual. Oh well.
4.10 rear gears for the dually and I am wondering how much of a dozer I can carry behind this truck.
The wife is the one looking at JD 350's and those come in around 8K. a neighbor down the road, I believe has a D-7 that supposedly is a 'medium sized' dozer at 24,000 pounds. I don't believe that 8K truck is going to pull a 24K machine with a trailer any time soon.
So, with a trailer under it, how much weight can I tow?
Naturally out of "overdrive" and with a top speed of about 55 MPH

20K?

I have an '89 SRW crewcab with 4.5 rear end, totally stock so far as I know. I pulled an 8,000 pound trailer around the state last year. It did OK in the flats, but I was down to 25 to 35 mph on the hills. The truck had no problems moving the load, no problems starting up on a hill, but it couldn't go fast unless it was flat.

My brother hauls a 12,500# machine on a 16k# bumper-pull trailer behind a 2006 F350 crew DRW. It is a handful, and he won't go heavier. He tells me he's already had a few check/change underwear moments.

My 93 dually I pull 18 -20 k behind it , for over 10 years now. 4.10s and close ratio ZF5 . One has to use common sense and have good trailer brakes, I also run air bags to keep the load level.

Man, I pulled one of those around behind a '08 Chevy Duramax many times. It was always on a two axle trailer too. That was what the boss had so we used it. Around town, it didn't bother me much, but I'd only pull it at 45MPH down the highway. I didn't care how fast he thought it had to get to a job site. It outweighed the tires' weight rating and he wondered why he was always having tire troubles. It was also about worn out. I HATED being 40' or so in the air and feeling how wobbly it was. Of course it would get hot and shut down in the summer time. Gotta love being stranded way up there when that happened. Sometimes, I'd use the battery backup to lower myself down, sometimes not.

This lift weights 15k , have the 3- 7000# axles, 8-14.5 lowboy for tires. Depending on the road can run down the road 55, hills are another thing. Even with turbo can get down pretty low speed, The IDIT just keeps going though. I built this trailer when I was in high school, 1970. Handles things pretty well, wish had a gooseneck though.

I'd be scared to publicly say what I've pulled many, many times behind my '90 CC dually, 4.10, ZF5, 088 ATS, airbags, etc, etc, thru the '90s & early 2000's. Many a mile in 3rd, some 4th, & even a little in 5th.
Couldn't do it now-a-days & get away with it. Weigh boys send me up for life!!!

We are full time also, but the 5th in my pic is my motherinlaws. Ours is 35 with 2 slides but about 8 9 years older.

Tongue pull 10k, 5th wheel 10 to 14k depending on options. Not uncommon to hit Max payload or GCVW before hitting Max 5th wheel weight. (5th wheel/gooseneck have higher tongue weight)

Can you pull more? yes, is it safe... maybe not, a lot more goes into weight ratings than just horsepower, like the capability of the brakes which are notorious for being a bit weak on these trucks.
