I have a 1993 F250HD Extended Cab (2 rear Tires...not a dually), ordered new with Heavy Duty Suspension & Towing Package, E4OD, 3.55 rear axle....I think it is 8600 GVW suspension? I am also in the process of adding a Banks Sidewinder Turbo System to it.

I am replacing the OEM Shocks and also going to S&B Silicone Body Bushings for a better ride. I will be towing an Enclosed 32ft. Race Car Trailer most of the time. Not really using the Truck for daily Driving....Just Towing......The Trailer (with Car inside) will weight approx. 12,000 - 15,000 lbs. max.

I need a "recommendation" for new front & rear Shocks..... What do you think would be the best Shocks for my Truck? I was thinking maybe Monroe Magnum Gas Shocks 34793 and 34797.....What brand/part numbers would you recommend and why?

Thanks in advance.

Gooseneck/mini-5th wheel or tagalong? If the latter, you might want to consider a weight distribution hitch if you're not already using one. Personally I would prefer a gooseneck setup towing that amount of weight - especially with a single axle truck, but just about all race car haulers that I've seen are tagalongs.

Either way, you might want to consider an air bag addition.

3:55's are a little tall for a CGW in the neighborhood of 23,000 lbs, IMO. I'd rather have 3.93's or 4:11's, especially since the E40D has an overdrive. 3:73 would be my minimum.

Sorry that I didn't address your question; my shock knowledge is around 50 years out of date!

The yellow bilstein seem to work well over all.
Agree on the 3.55 ratio being a little much with the tall od in the e4od. Depends how fast you pull though.....
