@pelky350 , oh my bad that photo was of the old 2” spacer before I turned it down to a 1” spacer. Way too much lift w/o drop down brackets.

the 2” spacer

I Fought that alignment the whole time , started at +3 positive camber , then got some radical +\- 4 degree camber bushings that made the knuckle rub on the I beam. Headaches after headaches

1” spacer

turned the spacer down to 1” for the time being (camber is at +1 degree) until I can get some drop down brackets as you mentioned.

Any recommendations on which ones to get ? Haven’t looked around yet

If it’s Chinese metal , I may just try and R&D some way down the road if the quality isn’t there.

This is for both of my trucks.
1981 F150:
I discovered that one of the rubber brake lines on the front is leaking brake fluid. Apparently, 38 years was long enough for it to keep the fluid on the inside.:dunno I guess that would be why the pedal felt soft. The good news is that I discovered it while it was sitting in front of my garage so it's in the right place!
1985 F250:
After the "enlightening" discovery, I finished loading up stuff from my garage for my camping/riding trip this weekend. A thre wheeler and a four wheeler in the truck bed. Two three wheelers in the trailer behind. I knew that it was low on fuel so I headed out for a gas station. I was getting nervous when the fuel gauge needle was kissing the empty mark by about half way there (I didn't realize that it was that low). After I got to the gas station, I put 18.27 gallons in the front tank which is the only one working. The good news about that experience is that my shower head is obviously NOT broken off! I don't usually push it that far. When I'm on a trip that's farther from home that 45 or so miles, I'll fill up at the halfway mark just in case.

First new tires I’ve ever owned I bought today after owning the truck for around 90xxx miles now. Many people kept saying I should buy cooper tires so I went with it. 315/75/16 cooper stt pro mts

Good choice! I loved the old STT's I had on my Chevy. Couldn't get that thing stuck unless the frame was laying on the ground. Trust me, I had a plenty of fun trying!

Put a new spare tire hoist on my 99 dually the other day, first time had a truck with share mounted under. but was tired of tire in back of the box. So put the tire on the ground , stem , center up. Will not pull up tight, thinking what in the world is going on. So drop it turn it over ,center down pulls up tight now. Somehow seem like I am missing something, maybe not.

You ran out of cable. The part that holds the tire is fairly long so you need the backspace of the wheel to get it up tight.

The holder bar bottoms out if you put the center up. Plus get to job today and tire needs to be hoisted up tight again. Thing is going to get saftey chains on it to hold tire up. Not sure I trust just the cable.

Well discovered more rust than I hoped to find, gonna located a new cab at some point but for now just rust reformer and bed liner. Nothing really rust here so cabs of bricknose only cost like 100$ Usually. Just some surface rust here and there but this hole after brushing away loose stuff is almost the size of a quarter. But new carpet still goin in, got to make it to “no bs obs” this weekend! I’ve got a pile of must have parts for the swap meet including a visor, a warn enforcer and a double cup cup holder, some diesel badges, f350 and fsuper duty.

Swapped fuel filter , oil filter , oil and belt tensioner , went will a Gates brand instead of a cheap China one that was on there (you can see it has one less coil), if this one fails I’m going to motorcraft

Went the the no be obs truck show today, saw a few idi’s actually! This one had a 088 ats with the coolest intake set up I’ve seen so far! Intake was inside a cowl inducted custom hood on a basically custom everything crew cab bull nose. Never did seen the owner around it hopefully the turbos been modded by Russ already since the rest of the truck is such a crazy nice build to have a plane Jane 088 on it
