ZF5 rear housing?

What is all involved in changing the rear housing or case on a ZF5 two wheel drive? Truck I recently picked up has a ZF5 and where is mounts to the cross member is broken. I'm guessing the transmission will have to come out to replace that part of the case? I have a transmission jack so its not problem to drop the trans.

Also if anyone has the rear case to a two wheel drive ZF5 I'm looking for one.

You have to take the transmission apart. I haven't been inside one since the late 90's so if I tried to tell you more than that, I'd probably be lying about something.
