I need help with all parts necessary to complete the ZF5-S42 Swap into my 92 F350 7.3 idi 2x4 .
1) I already have the ZF5-S42
2) Clutch pedal cluster
3) master & slave getting New

What transmission crossmember will I need ? FORD DEALER was of no assistance at all.
Will I need to change the ECM ?
Any helpful suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You will no longer need the ecm, it is strictly for controlling the E4OD. The engine itself is purely mechanical, no computer.

As for the crossmemeber, I cant remember but I'm sure others will chime in. Do you have a clutch kit? Swap is pretty straightforward.

I don’t know the part number on the crossmember, but they are different. I can get you the part number this evening.

I plan on getting this Stage 3 ceramic setup

Well I thought I had a spare ZF5 crossmember, but it’s for an M5OD.

I then proceeded to crawl under my ZF5 trucks. One had a C6 crossmember, figures, it was swapped to a ZF5, they just reused the C6 crossmember. It’s too tall.

My 91 F-Superduty has the right crossmember, but the crossmember doesn’t have a part number on it. Sorry.

Ok well now that I climbed under some trucks in the rain, it’s time to be done for the night. Good luck with finding the part number.
