The gasser needs a lower first gear than the diesel, and it's going to wind out farther so the gears are lower all the way around until you get to 1:1.

which means I can run bigger tires on my van and get away with the lower 1st gear not feeling like a DUMP TRUCK...

heck...i have that now with my 460 gasser and a zf5....but at least my 6.9 gets better fuel milage!!

As far as i know the top bolts line up but the bottom 4 and the dowel pins dont. As soon as i get this transmission I am going to measure and make up a diagram to show the differences between the two!

I have pictures I can send you, is it a 460 trans. The small block trans wont work at all.
