Local guy had the tranny adapter plate break on his engine causing it to hit the ground. i think he had the top two mounts in the top two tranny bolt holes. I've never trusted an engine stand with my 7.3 It ends up sitting on the ground or hanging from the puller. If I had a 2K or 3K stand though I wouldn't be too concerned.

I have no idea where you guys get these funny as hell pictures... They really make me laugh... calvin... Save the entire oil dip stick and tube with the mount. Someone will need it later on. And don't throw away the vacuum manifold up under the cowl seal. Nobody makes them any longer. The air cleaner lid rubber seal is nice to find also. You know what happens when thats missing and the cowl seal leaks rain water on top of the air filter housing... Can we say clunk when you try to start the motor....

hey....
you don't need be an ass about it. all you need to do is grow a pair of balls and put up the front money to get a transporter to truck one of the carcasses out there and you'll triple your initial outlay.;Sweet

LOL

I'm a county employee remember? It takes me a while to drum up the coin to afford the big dogs to get the "Balls" rolling.

Ummm Gary try using google if you can pull yorself away from ebay for a few minutes. You'll be amazed at what you see.LOL

As far as adding parts to the collectors list to cannibalize is the 92-97 idler tensioner bolts for the diesels.

The owner of my local parts shop was grumbling to me yesterday that that particular bolt is no longer available as well asnd he told me to put the word out.

Here's the stand I made for rebuilding those V730 Allison trannies. They weigh 1100#. Don't do it anymore. This is in a barn hardly any light.

That's a sin. Around here, that truck is in GOOD condition.
mel-
i agree with you 100%.
problem is I am out of room and I am headed into the busy season and every car space counts. All my hulls have titles or salvage certs, so transport across state lines is a non-issue. They're free to you and Ron, all you two need to do is arrange transport.
