well i scored everything but the clutch/brake pedals for my 94 to put a 5 speed in it for free!! we have an F250 that was trespass towed.we won in court to junk it.i took the starter and a few other parts from it the other day and decided to yank the tranny yesterday.got the tranny and a single mass flywheel.now i gotta go junkyard hoppin to find the pedal assembly and ill be all set.i might start the swap today.

That means it was sitting on a property for too long, and they towed it. Instead of giving it back to the owner they got a court order and cut it up. If my memory serves me correctly.

In the industry it's known as "PPI" "Private Property Impound" either a vehicle that is not authorized to be on the property, or a vehicle abandoned.

Obviously the abandoned ones are rarely claimed by the owner and are often worth less than the tow and storage charges.
