If $9500 is too much, maybe this one will make you feel better.

A little sampling what`s out here on the west coast.
Not true cost of living is cheaper here in Nevada, maybe a bit less than kommie land.
Diesel in Tahoe is $5.00 +-, Reno is almost like Calif.
Down here $2.89 cheapest and Chevron is $3.50.

that '89 Flatbed in SLO is right near me. I saw that listing the other night and started laughing. couldnt believe he was asking that much and saying how rare his truck was. but I will say this most of those trucks you posted are very clean and at least the body and interior are well taken care of. but yes prices on everything are getting out of hand. gas, groceries, building supplies, and trucks all have shot up this last year and especially the last couple months.
The summer of 2019 I was insulating and putting up 7/16 chip board in my shop. long wall is 30ft and 18ft
on the ends. one end has the big door, so only one panel there. the price then was $7.65 for each one.
last summer I was going to do the other wall, and the price jumped to $14 and up. well that ain`t going to happen, I`ll wait for a price drop. Gone up steadly.
Was at HD two nights ago and the price is now $55.56 each. Going to be a long wait.

I can understand this perfectly. I want to put an addition on one side of my garage, but it's not going to happen for quite a while at this rate. Last Friday, I paid $7.25 each for 8' 2x4's at Home Depot. It was more than I wanted to pay, but not as bad as I was afraid it was going to be.Was at HD two nights ago and the price is now $55.56 each. Going to be a long wait.
Yup, it's just nuts. Last time I checked, OSB plywood was $59. a sheet.

I was too scared to look at that. really, I hate Home Depot myself. I prefer to drive an extra half hour and go to Menard's. I always save enough to more than pay for the extra fuel that I use. I haven't gone back since I was escorted to the front door for not covering my face last summer so if I HAVE to have something, I go to Home Depot.Yup, it's just nuts. Yeah, I completely agree about home depot. We don't have any Menards up here, but as far as "hardware" stores, the only local ones are lowes and home depot. There is a true value on the other side of town that I prefer to go to for odds and ends.I find home depot to have questionable lumber but a better layout, and lowes to have better quality lumber but no matter how many times I go there, I find myself stranded and immediately everyone disappears, lol. That is the nice part about the smaller stores like true value and Ace. They are basic and most of the time the staff is helpful, but they can be more expensive than home depot.I was too scared to look at that. really, I hate Home Depot myself. Yeah, you're probably right. I have been in other Lowe's that weren't so bad, but I always find myself lost in stores, so it could just be me. That's why I like the smaller store, less places for me to wonder off to , and less things I bring home with me.I completely agree about Ace and True Value. I've only been a Lowe's store a few times. I didn't find it to be too bad, but it may vary by location.
