I replaced my stock compressor wheel with a wicked wheel 2. I can hear it spooling up good but the gauge isn’t showing any boost. I’m not sure if my gauge is bad or what. Also when I hooked on to the camper to pull it, it seemed to be really low on power and didn’t have the get up and go. It was also abot 95 degrees out yesterday as well. Not sure what the problem could be.

Turn it down as low as you can and blow air into it. (If the regulator goes lower than the gauge max)

So
there is no way that when you installed said ww2 you could have made a mistake and compromised the performance???

Something besides the gauge is off if it will not pull make power,any longer.

Some gauges are actually showing vacuum!
And, the boost gauge not reading also sounds like installation error.
Did it work before ww2 install?

The gauge never worked very well at least I didn’t think it did. Could my timing be off or my injection pump be going bad? It will still pull just doesn’t seem to have the power. When it’s cooler outside the truck runs a lot better. Also I am thinking that my injection pump is the original and my truck was originally a NA engine and the previous owner put the hypermax kit on it. I’m not sure if that would make a difference or not either. I’m new to having an IDI and have only had the truck a couple months.

I'd keep this in mind and use it as a starting point. Does your truck have an intercooler? If not, it may be building too much heat in the boosted air. You can actually lose power from too much heat in boosted air. If whoever installed the turbo also turned up the fuel enough, it will run fine with a N/A pump. That is if the pump and injectors are in good shape. Timing could be a factor. If you aren't sure of the boost gauge, maybe you should replace it.
No it does not have an Intercooler. Maybe that is something I should look into. Where is the best place to find one for my truck?

One test - Pull the intake boot off(so no boost into the intake). See how that 'feels'. If it feels similar, you simply aren't getting any boost.
You can also put your hand over the outlet of the turbo, rev the engine. You ought to feel plenty of air coming out. If not, something's wrong.
Also, remember: if you messed with the turbo, then have poor performance... chances are, it's turbo related.

A lot of us use one fron CXRacing on Ebay. 31"x12"x3" is all the bigger you need. You can get universal intercooler piping in a kit on there too. My intercooler was $134.10 and my piping kit was $99.99. Macrobb did have a good point and it's free to test.

Testing the boost gauge is easy- pull off the small boost sense hose from the intake hat and rig up a water manometer. Each ft of water is 0.4 psi so a 10 ft diff in water levels on loops of manometer is 4 psi- enough to see if gauge working/accurate. And Hypermax sells an engineered intercooler kit- may not be cheapest way to go but no fabrication rears.
